I’ve juz heard about this name – Michelia champaca. I was wonderin for all this while where was theChampaca name came from, as the flower I familiar with is Plumeria alba, or commonly known as frangipani. The Malays used to call it bunga Kemboja or bunga kubur. The frangipani flower is also called Champa. Both of the flowers came from different Order – Michelia is in the Magnoliid Order, while Genitianales is for Plumeria. Now I’m confuse whether the Bong Su flower which stated in the sakkaraiwas Plumeria alba or Michelia champaka…?
sakrai = history
Bong Su = a flower
